Guess they changed it then. Both C7 and Camaro use 5 on 120mm.

Use a small crew driver to pry off the dust seals. Pistons come out easily with some compressed air and a block of wood in the center. Use a small screwdriver to work the seals out. Seals are square cut so you can't mess it up putting it back together. Pretty easy overall if you're patient and take your time.

The hat on the rotors us a different offset on the C7 to Gen5 Camaro.

Better is subjective. If you are not having issues, then there is no reason to change. The tracks I run in the Midwest are short, tight and allow little time for brake cooling between braking zones. Only one track I run do I see speeds close to 130mph. One track has four 100+mph sections with hard braking zones in 2.25 miles. It is very hard on brakes. My silver V calipers were gold from the heat, but to be clear, I would not have made this purchase if it were not for the broken bleeders. A better engineered product that has data to back it is worth the change at this time for me.

I don't have the pistons diameters in front of me....but I know they have been posted in the past.

FYI: The original piston discussion started on about page 22 of this thread:

Where did you find them and what part numbers? The best price I see is well over $400.
The part numbers should be for the J56 brake system and the color chart is below:
J6A- Black
J6D- Cyber Gray
J6E- Yellow
J6F- Red

I wish I could take the credit, but I cant. I have to thank the unsung heroes at the General for the information that led me to purchase these. There are many enthusiast that work there, but can not publicly post on forums and tell us what works and what doesn't for obvious liability and job security reasons......

Thanks again, you know who you are!

The calipers are idential and I have to imagine the vented pistons are fractions of ounces. The ZL1 rotora actually weigh more than the CTS-V rotors by almost 2lbs (about 27.2lb vs 25.5lb)
