HP ratings and weight for 1LE driveshaft and axles???

The 1LE was advertised as having a beefed up driveline.....if that implies the driveshaft and axles.....IF.... what are they rated at for hp handling?

ie 1000hp or 1400hp? less?

I'm looking at adding some strength for peace of mind AND reducing rotational mass/weight at the same time.

I want to make sure it's worth it...... if the 1LE already HAS 1000hp alxes and/or driveshaft...not sure I'll drop that much $ to reduce a few lbs.

Can someone "in the know" CONFIRM or somehow show proof of the hp ratings of the 1LE OEM driveshaft and axles?

I'd like to know their weight as well if someone has removed and weighed so I can determine if the money spent is worth the drop of weight. Thanks guys!

I thought the 1LE used the same axles as the ZL1, driveshaft I think is standard manual SS.

Anytime you put more than 500 to the ground all the driveline components become the week links. Just go with parts designed for the power you're making. It will not be a waste of money. The ZL1 diff has been called bullet proof. So it may be worth the effort to drop the 3.91 gears into that pumpkin.

Get a g-force driveshaft if you want reduced weight there, the 1LE is the same as the SS.

The 1LE axles are a bit different but barely any kind of improvement over the SS. If you want a strong, worry free, axle you will need to add weight there and go aftermarket or add a ZL1 rear but thats the heaviest option.

Everything in the ZL1 rear is different.

A lot of opinions, but no confirmations. Still researching myself but can't be sure yet on the hp ratings for either axles or driveshaft for the 1LE.

You will never find a factory HP rating on driveline components because every time someone breaks one with 1hp less they'll try and sue GM.

The part numbers for the driveshaft is the SAME.

Come on dude... Do you honestly think your setup pushed hard through an OEM driveline will be uneventful forever?!

Nothing OEM on these cars were made for that kind of power. Your driveline upgrades are the next frontier. Now get to modding!!

RH ZL1 Axle 22953759 retail 622.50
RH 1LE Axle 22806796 retail 277.90
RH SS Axle 22813728 retail 251.44

The 1LE axles are an upgrade over the SS axles, no reports of them breaking yet, but DSS and similar are great.
