Yeah I agree. Hoping those numbers are wrong or misleading! 3.45 is that what some of you would call aggressive gearing? Cause I think they could of upped it more than that.

Also... does anyone know what kind of paddles they would be using? i got in a mallibu with paddles yesturday and found them to be... not so user friendly... usually (like on BMW's) you pull the paddles towards you to activate them, from the back of the paddle, but these you had to press like a gameboy w/ your thumb... it was akward

I'm a huge fan of driving a manual, and would rather any day race a manual on a track (any track). But to compete and the performance numbers that are there I believe i'm going to have to side with the auto and get me a paddle shifter car to race. it saddens me. but I want to be able to compete. . . |

To downshift you pull, though, right?
I think their reasoning is that because they are attached to the wheel (and not the column like other OEMs), having both sides do the same thing will be easier to fiddle with if you have to shift in the middle of a turn. |

no the '-' paddle is the same set up... and you MIGHT be able to pull it.. but it looked set up for a push. Id be hoping for some larger pulling paddles, they are easier to use. especially at high speeds.

Let's hope these numbers are simply wrong... I will have a hard time justifying a stick shift if it can't beat the automatic of the same model car in a drag race..

Are the camaro's paddles going to be like that? I would really rather have pull on right to upshift and pull on left to downshift.
Also, I think these numbers are way off. Are these GM's times or Insideline's times?

like i said before, this will be my first stick car, and ive been estatic about it for months and months, but after seeing this gap in performance... i really dont want to think about it. i just hope its wrong. and i know thats an imature stance to take, but i really want my manual, but not if i dont stand a chance against a car that is HEAVIER with LESS HP and TORQUE |

no you pull them you can't see it pictured but behind the wheel is a little paddle looking thing. you pull it don't push. I thought the same thing when I first saw them and then looked further. you don't push them
