Question guys: You say that there will be no LS2 enigne, but from the official Camaro's site (http://www.chevrolet.com/performance/ > Features > Performance Features) it says that car will have a 400hp, 6lt LS2 V8 engine.

/confused

Btw, the new Camaro will be available to Europe too \o/ I hope the price will be a proper one, some US brands go up to x3 the equivalent US market price.

That information is strictly for the Concept Camaro. If you have seen any pictures of the concept or have seen the Camaro in person, you'll notice that the engine in the CONCEPT, in fact, is an LS2. The specs on that website is just for the concept...(it also says 21 and 22 inch wheels...which many of us highly doubt will make it to production)...Hopefully, that helped to end your confusion.

To bad chevy cheaped out and it is not a true pillerless hardtop like the 1st generation. I hope they have a wide range of engines. I would prefer a small V8 and a 6-speed stick I dont need 400HP but want V8 feel and sound-PS. I loved my 84 Z-28 H.O 5-SPEED - bought it new and drove it 235.000 miles- JOHN

You are both right, in a way. To go without a b-pilar would mean that the car would need structural reinforcement. This can be done with either heavy steel or other more expensive materials. To include a b-pillar requires neither of these, so they chose it.

i personally think that no car can handle the stringent crash standards of today without a b-pillar... the challenger weighs over 2 tons and still has a b-pillar... hell so does the mustang... it is just way too hard these days and it isn't practical for an automaker to try it...

Current MB CL Series $108,000 - $198,000

It's totally possible, just not cost effective.
