Sorry...long night. Let me attempt to clarify.

I had no idea what you two are talking about, and wanted to clear the air, I guess. I thought Mr. Draco was talking about all ambient lighting being blue, and you were talking about the accessories paneling, right?

Ambient lighting is BLUE. Unless you order the Inferno Orange interior.
Then, all the different color accessory door inserts are ONLY the inserts, buying them won't change the Ambient lighting color.

Did that help, or did I mess it up more?

It works great in the monorail, and I'm really hoping it makes it in the Camaro.
I'm on my way. It doesn't take much to get me to DW, and I always loved the monorails. The current ones were made by Bombardier.

To clarify, Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Ca got the new monorails. Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fl are still using their old monorails. But by all means, go experience them in person.

Sorta. I understand what you are saying...the point was that Draco stated that he has read somewhere that the LED pipes were all white, the different color options were due to the paneling on top of them. I said that didn't sound right or we would have as many color options as they felt like...there would be no limitation as it would only mean painting a panel a different color.

My thinking is the LEDs are what makes the colors, not the paneling. If it IS the paneling, then why only offer 3 colors? Although this does open up an aftermarket for whatever colors one desires (IE - pink for our resident pink expert).

The interior trim kit from GM Accessories will not change the light pipe but it will change the color that is reflected by backpainting the trim pieces. The available colors are Yellow, Orange, White, and Silver.
So the light pipe is just a normal white light and is just reflected to change the color of the light? So anyone could take off the trim pieces and paint the back side to anycolor to make it that color light am i correct or way off? Thanks for your help John.
I think it is a little more difficult then that, but similiar. I will say a lot of people dont like that we wont have red. We did studies of all the colors day and night and there was no noticeable difference between the color for the orange and red. Just my opinion again not that of General Motors

Not to pee in the pot here.

But, all this has me thinking they are having real problems with this. It doesn't sound like anyone, GM or otherwise, has a clear view of what ABL is and how it will work. At least if they do, they aren't telling us.

Don't get me wrong. I'm sure they have a prototype that they are working towards. But it sounds to me (my opinion only) that, for whatever reason, the end goal is alluding them...

Again, just me spouting off. I'm hopeful they'll figure it out.

We are actually getting new Mk VIII Monorails here in FL in a few years. Sorry I thought I would chime in - I work at DW FL at Monorails. Ever need any tickets or want to drive a Monorail send me a PM!

Oh, yeah, and when they installed Monorail RED (the first of the three MK VII's) at Disneyland CA, the ABL was probably the ONLY thing that worked!! Least of the problems was they somehow engineered the new train so that it was too tight to take the turns without ripping off the electrical bus bars on the track! Maybe Disney could help out GM with their ABL problems LOL

I Hope This Is What The SS Sounds Like!

Guys - I was going to start a new thread with this one but believe it belongs in this one.

In any case, I hope the SS sounds like this. If not, I will be aspiring to get mine there.
