funny you say that. after that she had sworn off drivng it EVER. I basically forced her to drive it again b/c I know she loves the car and wants to drive it really badly. I know she knows how to drive manual, she was fine driving out C6 but it was HURST equiped and the throw was MUCH tighter. The camaro is way too sloppy for me (for now). Anyhow, the next time she drove it she cried for about 5 minutes first becuase she was so scared but she did awesome. I know, I know no street racing stories but she did hand these college kids their butts on a platter! Now they have to go home and tell their buddies they got beat by a girl!

My dad still with us but your right on the money.

To the OP he is probably doing the same stuff you did when you just got the car. The tranny is way tough/sticky compared to a old broken in 4rth gen. Anyhow I'm sure your dad probably let you drive his over the years and you probably did a few things he may not be too happy with but guess what your his son. Lastly if you think these are expensive 4rth gen SS's were almost going for this much over 10 years ago without the markup if you chose to pay one.

I got mine Saturday i wanted to share the car with all my family and friends but i had to shut it down for a while people were being just freaking stupid about it. My plastic moldings on the drivers side got scratched up before i even got it home. I swore i wasnt going to be anal about this car but dam it drove me crazy how people were treating like a dam Ford tempo and not being careful at all. By the way op best saying i ever heard was from a guy who's dad told him the following. "Son live your life with 2 rules like i did and all is well. Dont share your women and dont share your car".

I will let some folks drive my car (when I get it). But only those who I deem qualified. Some people can't handle a car of this caliber!! My fear is not missing gears, though...I'm more worried about tree-hugging (not in the traditional sense). I do think you're overreacting. :(

But I will be a front passenger at ALL times. I don't blame people for wanting to keep this car safe from bad drivers...but I'm very generous, and would love to share the Camaro experience with my friends and family.

Well said. OP, lighten up, it's just a car and what he did isn't going to hurt it one bit.

to everybody that is getting down on my about this. just to be clear I did not get mad at my father in front of him that is why i posted here so i could vent. i just feel bad the car had those things happen during the break in period because i just want to do it right. I have had many camaros and trans ams in the past that were used and somebody else beat the hell out of them so by the time i got them they were broken all the time. I just want this one to be right!

Fireresq157 You may think i am not being truthful, but no i did not do those things when i got the car. I have never killed ,lugged, or missed a shift yet.

Never? Than you either haven't been driving long enough or hard enough! Most people do have a bit of an issue the first time they drive a Spec 3 racing clutch... LOL

Your car is now ruined sell it, it will never be the same.

Seriously, way over reacting. It's fine, just don't do it again!

My old Man gave me three pieces of advice before he left this shi**y ol' world he said "Son, never lend out your car, your women or your gun"!!
