Another thing worth looking at is the tint I think I see on the headlight lenses....if they're as dark as it seems on the foglights...that's not helping...

BTY, I think the Camaro HID's are in the 6500k range which is technicly brighter than 10,000k but not as blue.
Actually car companies put 4100-4300K range HID bulbs in the cars. (whether its a Merc or Camaro) Thats the only 'legal' rated bulbs that Osram or Phillips make. The 6000K HID bulbs and any other kelvin rated bulb are considered aftermarket.

So the 4100-4300K range is more towards a pure white/yellowish than that bluish tint some look for. But this range is suppose to be the brightest you can get with the most light output.

OP, here's another question:

Do you have manual control of your fog lights?

Also no one mentioned that putting HID in a reflector housing will allow you to see more in front of you because you're carelessly throwing light everywhere. HID are meant to be used in a projector housing so it aims the beam at a certain level. Ever notice a bunch of ricers with HID retrofits on their car that blinds the crap out of you and looks like complete *!%^?

The OP's previous cars may be exactly as I described since he has 10k bulbs.

My halos and HID's are plenty bright. They are not yellow what so ever.

My 2SS/RS lights up the entire neighborhood when I drive through. They are bright white and downright awesome. No yellow at all and this is on the auto setting. Car looks mean as hell.

Sounds like the TC either got replacements or an aftermarket upgrade. More than likely the upgrade.

I think we figured it out... Car is not an RS.

White SS badge

Sure hope he didn't get duped into buying an "RS" that it's clearly not.

Plus, I agree, tinted lights will cast a dim, yellow-ish light.

Here's a bigger picture of the OP's car. It looks to me like the previous owner tinted his lights..
