Well, besides missing the power of the old Z, you won't be unhappy w/ the interior and style. Nice ride, man.
...and we'll see ya in the Z28 down the road.... |

i personally DO NOT have faith that we will see the Z28. GM is in way too much trouble to even bother with it. Im sorry guys but if GM survives it will take 5-10 years to turn a profit. Maybe at that point we get a Z 28.

In 5-10 years, there may be evolutionary fuel-economy standards that prevent it...plus, it won't take them that long to turn a profit -- but that's not the topic of this thread.
Again, nice Malibu! |

Thanks guys. I like it even more each time I drive it. If I can't get Z later at least adding an SC to an SSwill get me in the power range I'm looking for. The trouble is it won't match my Z28 tattoo

I got an 09 LTZ as well for my wife because her old car (02 Solara) was literally falling apart. We looked for a few days and finally settled on a black car with the cocoa/cashmere interior and the Ecotec. Only thing it does have is the rear power and sunroof.
So far its been a great car. Has had a few small issues with the brakes, dealer said they were warped but its still doing a small vibration at very very low speeds, and the transmission recall. We look at an Impala and G8 and decided to get the Malibu. G8 was a little too much car for us and the Impala was just VERY outdated compared to the other two. Stickered for $26.7 and it was out the door for $21.2 after 3k for our trade in. |

I'd be surprised if his '08 LTZ cost him $25k...I can get an '09 Malibu LTZ for $24k...

We, too, looked at the Impala but it just didn't appeal. It was too big for our tastes and just didn't look that good, like you said. I'd have like a G8 GT but 252 horsepower isn't too bad It looks like you got a pretty good deal too Hey Fenwick' - I saw you on the Malibu forum I mentioned above I didn't see any LTZs in our area for those prices, but this one was a lot better because it was on the lot so long and with the rebate.
