Huh, I believe that it would be on every corner in a couple of years, one of the reason that turned me away from the Camaro

Soooooo we want to be realistic and learn a few lessons but not on our watch because you want a rare Camaro? I dont think that is going to save anything.....
Seems a little off to me.......... JMHO[/QUOTE] I don't see it this way - I am on an even keel - I have not over spent and charged my credit card to the max or taken out all the eqity in my home to spend on short term "things" that will be worn out 20 years before i pay them off. -- 30 year money for 5 year toys. I want to buy a special car that i have always wanted since i was in high school. I drove a International Scout and a 1972 gmc pickup through high school and then college and still have the 72 pickup. I hope for GM to become a strong American company again but i hope they will also focus on cars that compete with foreign companies, and the unions to be reasonable (if the "bigWigs" will be reasonable- Big wigs get too much money for the little they do), reduce our dependency on foreign oil and stop sending our dollars to foreigners that turn around and buy our businesses in America and take their revenues back to their country. Eventually they will own us someday. We need to keep our dollars here in America. Anyway, have a great day at work,

Corvettes are not even rare anymore... I see them everywhere. If you want a "rare" car, you need to spend over 100k and get an "exotic" not a sports/muscle car. |

I hope to see one on every corner of every street of every town. Twice!
And there's no reason it shouldn't happen like that. There are two very appealing combinations: moderate performance plus high gas mileage, or high performance plus moderate gas mileage. Camaro's for everybody!! |

Here's the way I see it....
The new Camaro is like a beautiful woman. There can't be enough of them and I never get tired of looking at them. If you are one of those that needs the "rare car" attention, then I hope you pre-ordered one. For the first year or so, the new Camaro will stand out and people will go out of their way to get a look at it. If that is what is most important to you, then get a pre-order Camaro and then sell it after 2 or 3 years. If you are like me, you love the new Camaro for the beautiful piece of Engineering and architecture that it is. The fact that I can stare at this car for a 2 hour spell speaks volumes to it's masterful design. I would love to see one on every corner.

There may be a lot of Camaros rolling around, but don't forget some muscle heads prefer Challengers, Corvettes, Mustangs, etc,
Then you have the ricer crowd who is going to stick with the 370z, the Genesis, RX-8, STi's and EVO's. The old ladies will still drive their buicks and the rednecks and friends from south of the border will drive their pickups. Sure there will be a lot of Camaros, but even at it's highest concentration there will only be a handful per community and they will likely all be different.

Booooosted.

Guess I'm in the minority on this one. I don't want it to be a rare car. I want other people to share my love of the car with and I want it to be a real success for GM.
But I don't want it to be watered down. And guess what? That doesn't make me pretentious or selfish. The 'Mirror' comment is stupid. You can't tell me that you don't enjoy your individuality. I help people any time I get a chance, I put my volunteer time in, I enjoy giving more than receiving. So I want to be different, that doesn't make me a bad person. |

I never like seeing an exact duplicate of my own car, but I think with the variety of base colors, stripes, RS, etc. the odds are low I'll drive by many that are mirror images of mine.
