I'm one more person who is extremely happy with my V6,M6 it gives me all the fun I want with good everyday driving and not killing the wallet at the pump considering current fuel price trends. Now if I was a light to light 1/4 mile guy then I of course would have went with the V8. However I'm all about the driver and I love road courses and have been lucky enough to get it out on Watkins Glen and I think that kind of environment works perfect for the 6's if you are just a person who really enjoys the car for the whole not just cylinders .

Whenever I get this question, I simply say, "I got a V6 that does 0 to 60 in under 6 seconds and I can afford to drive every day." They always get big eyes, smile and say, "that's awesome, gorgeous car!"

Most V6 owners that got the 2LT could have gone for the Base V8 if they wanted, cause its not much more. It comes down to gas mileage and hey good on them. They wanted a car that they could use as a daily driver. I have a V8 and i know that every single one of you other V8 owners are going to say you can get good gas mileage to. But being a V8 owner, the fact is you really can't, or you have to try really hard. I admit i always wanna mash the peddle. Love that torque feel.

As for the V6 owners saying that V8 owners are just compensating for stuff. (penis, life, ect) come on how immature are we going to get here? I know that i bought the V8 cause i love my car and love the power. Not because of anything else. Buy what you desire, and don't go thrashing on the other people just because they got something diff.

Each person has a diff reason for buying the car they did. If its cause you love cars and the V8 Muscle is the way to go, or you love cars, as in the body style and don't care so much about the power. I don't know if you people have notice but the Camaro is one pretty sweet looking car. And the Style doesn't change cause of the engine size. Don't go saying the hood scoop either, cause its fake so don't brag that up.

All i'm trying to get at here is shut up and love the car you bought, and not hate on the others just cause you think there purchase is stupid cause its not yours.
I got a v6 because my penis is already big

I would say that the V-6 owners that are bothered about the SS owners......didn't pay $9000 to over $22000 for the SS. We are not responsible for your anger. You seem to blame us for people at the service station asking you if your car is a SS V-8. If we say anything we are picking on you.

You made your choice.......over 80% of the Camaro sales were 1SS or 2SS sales. We are not responsible for your purchase or the fact you are unhappy.

Are you sure about that? I seem to remember a moderator here saying something to the effect that V6 sales were carrying the Camaro.

V8 sales were 57%, not over 80%.

And to add my 2 cents, I have a V6, I love it, nobody has given me grief about it being a V6 yet, most people comment on how nice it is, or even acknowledge how much power it has for a V6 before I say anything other than "It's the V6..."

If anyone *did* say anything negative I wouldn't really care because I bought the car for me, and not them.
Seriously, after seeing my car if they still have to ask me if it's the V6 or V8, they obviously know jack s**t about Camaros and probably cars at that, so why even get worked up over what they have to say?

Just enjoy your Camaro and ignore the haters.

I remember this post. These were inital orders that started on October 14, 2008. Presold orders with orders turned in and deposited money down on some cars. Over 80% SS orders sold were listed in this post. This post was the last week of October 2008. My order was turned in and a deposit was taken.

I agree!

I didn't even get worked up today when someone said "Nice car! Is it a Dodge?"
