There was a HUGE difference when I installed my Vararam intake. I was expecting an improvement, but it still caught me off guard...

You can't go wrong with an intake. It's not supercharger like power but you'll feel some extra HP!

That article was written about SS intakes. Janetty did a pretty good evaluation of the V6 intakes that were available at the time, although Vararam is not on the list because it hadn't come out yet. I just realized that this is on the V8 section, but the OP only lists his car as an RS.

On my SS I gained 14 rwhp and 14 rwtq with my ADM intake, Installed it at Andy's shop and the second pull after the swap it was about 10 degrees hotter outside too!

I'm not sure how much I gained (Jegs claims 20+ HP/torque) but it sure seemed to help with throttle response...and it sounds meaner, too!

i didn't feel anything. i highly doubt the average person will feel 10HP bump. i think people hear the sound of more air sucking in and that alone plays mind games. its even worse for people who put a exhaust on. the car is louder and they think its faster.

10WHP, 12WHP, 15WHP. blah blah blah. thats honestly peanuts.

but hey i would still get one cause they sound great and look cool with hood popped. but there is not much to be gain. BUT with headers and CAI +tune thats a different story.

I think I felt a lil increase in power with my Rotofab, it made my car sound louder and made the engine compartment way cleaner
