I installed the PAC unit with a Kenwwod deck. Everything fired up great, but after a few hours, I realized I wasn’t getting the power I was stock. It almost sounds like the internal kenwood amp is powering everything and bypassing the internal amp? I used the PAC harness that came with the kit, am I missing something here? But I honestly feel like I’m not getting the power out of the internal amp. I have the Boston AQ system..

Suggestions?

I would guess it sounds cleaner, albeit not as loud, because you are not hearing as much distortion, and you don’t have the built in EQ of the stock HU. If you want louder, you are going to need power, which the stock amp does not provide...Welcome to the rabbit hole of car audio!

Make sure you plugged in your radio connection pin is in its correct slot on the module, there is a "stock" amplified slot and a "amplified" slot.
