Pulley and belt...vortech

I'm running the JRE 3.33 and belt upgrade...looks like I should have plenty of tension to drop to a 3.12...right?
When doing the math on the blower rpm..you have to take in account the 3.6:1 ratio of the v3 si also..right?
2questions...I'm done. Lol

From JRE 3.33 and belt upgrade I just added a 3.12 with that same belt. 12-14 psi and no slip. I'm on the YSi but pulley and belt is the same

Thanks man. I'm looking to buy with cam to keep boost at 10.x psi or so. I need to talk to ryan and see what he thinks about adding boost now. Lol I'd bet it would be methanol territory though.

The 3.33 is the lowest you should go without meth on 93 octane. With cam it should put you at 650rwhp.

Pulley size matters not for octane. Boost does. In other words...all depends on what the cam does or doesn't bleed off.

I was recommended 3.33 with 93 oct and a 3.12 for a race fuel only tune or meth.

This couldn't be more wrong, boost doesn't have anything to do with octane required. Dynamic compression ratio determines the octane you have to run and not run into detonation. Dynamic compression is directly rated to horsepower, and you'll have to stop at 650 wheel to be safe on your stock motor.

Do you mean 650 RWHP for the stock block on just 93 oct?

Yes. To be safe. Obviously you can go higher but the chances for kaboom greatly increase.

He can only make 650 wheel with his car that's why he's so angry. Please bear with us as we adjust his medication.

What about with meth like grocery said? Or racefuel like I was suggested?

Race fuel YES!

The consensus on using meth as a fuel is that it's not the greatest idea. The slightest hiccup and boom.

At least with race gas you know exactly what you're getting.

Lots of cars making 800 rwhp on the stock block with race gas or meth. I'd prefer the gas but both work.

What's wrong with using $13 a gallon fuel?
