Just got a backup kit and needing to know which wire to tap into to power the camera when in reverse.

Light green
Yellow with black stripe
Brown with blue stripe
Dark green with yellow stripe

I can't access the reverse light itself. Camera has a red and black wire. I assume black is ground, red is power.

Backup camera? What do you mean what's the purpose?

I assume so it turns the reverse camera on only when he puts it into reverse? So he's wiring to the reverse lights to power it that way

Get someone in the car and put it in reverse. Then with a multimeter see what wire has 12v

Any body post some pics of wiring after completed? I put a reverse camera in mine last weekend but had it wired to a switch on my center console, connected to the cig lighter. I want to connect it to the reverse light wiring in the tail light assembly. However, I could not find the ground wire. None of the wires are black. I found the light green for power?

Someone please chime in...

Just below the openings behind the license plate there is a bundle of wires. It has the lt grn and black.

Can you have a picture? I put a reverse camera too. But i could not find the ground wire, can you post some pic?
