Pretty sure on the DVD they say its a 76. They also said they would have went with a 69 but thought realistically there was no way a high school kid was going to find really any 69 for under 5K. Even beat up bodies of a 69 is worth like 5K lol.

It's not an '74.In 1974 the rear window did not wrap around the sides.1975-77 they did.
