Connecting the rear back up camera

I am buying a Pioneer AVH-X4700BS and wondering how hard it is to hook the back up camera into it, it has a video in.

Not hard, just takes a bit of time. Their is a DIY thread in the DIY section that has good step by step instructions.

I already have the camera, it came with the car. I just need to know how to hook it up to the Pioneer.

I didn't know you were using the OEM camera. I think you can buy an adaptor for the OEM plug that will let you plug it into the video input.

Their is a video input for the camera on the back of the Pioneer head unit.

My problem is I do not know how to find the cable that hooks into the rear view mirror screen. If I knew how to isolate the current camera cable I can hook everything up.

I would think you will have to disconnect the camera from the mirror, reroute the harness to the head unit and use an adaptor to plug it in. You should be able to use one of the DYI install instructions to show how it is routed an how to take it out.
