Looks like the JBA 1 3/4" shorty headers and mids are doing pretty well then.

Here's the comparison dyno sheet:
Top run (26) is as installed, about 11psi, 16* timing. Middle run (28) is when we dialed back the boost, 9psi, 16* timing. Bottom run (16) is the base run with the GT9 cam. Main thing is not the numbers, but the comparison. Max boost, I'm up 195rwhp. Daily Driver trim, I'm up 169rwhp. Max boost was not a problem, but we didn't want to stay there. I should be able to run that more safely when I've got race gas, but on pump gas I had no Knock Reduction. Daily driver trim it's still violent. Relearning how to drive it isn't a problem. But I did notice my normal highway driving range from 55-75mph shifted up accordingly to 70-90mph. It was hard to keep out of it since it so casually reached for triple digits. Gas mileage is fine when cruising under no boost. 22mpg or so. But one jaunt or two and it drops to the 15mpg range. Startup requires waiting for the pump to prime, and the Aeromotive pump is noisy and noticeable, but I'm told it's not half as bad as the older external Aeromotives. But at max boost, we were somewhere around 75% Injector Duty Cycle. Startup also requires the stock Camaro battery. None of this lightweight Braille stuff. Getting the blower turning over is noticeable, but fine. I think I'll start a new thread to discuss technical aspects of the build/dyno in the FI section, but feel free to to discuss here too. I remember once reading a comment by a pilot who flew a Spitfire MKIV I think it was, and he said it felt like being violently pulled down the runway by your heels. Sounds like you're reaching for the automotive version hehe. Very interesting and informative thread.

I drove it today in the rain and it is tameable. I kicked out the rear for the fun of it a few times and was able to control it. Of course, I doubt I saw more than 2lbs of boost. Here are some pics of my new emblems: Padre |

Took the SS for a spin in the mountains to check my part throttle response and shift tables. Really.

Insane eh? If you don't have it already, you have to get the red devil blow off valve. Makes your car sound like a jet engine from outer space.
