Nice! Wish I could've seen it, but then, I have seen a black 2SS/RS, and it is a gorgeous car! Were you the first order there? I think I've seen your VIN on the VIN tracking thread. What were you doing ordering at Ferman from WPB? Too bad that red's not IBM, or I might be looking to buy... I don't think I'd want to test drive an SS though, cause I'd like my first SS drive to be in mine when I pick it up. I just wanted to drive a V6 to see how it was, and I was impressed!

I ordered a car here at a local dealer for MSRP on the first day. Five hours later I got a call and they changed there mind...they wanted 6k over. So I found Ferman and placed my order for MSRP. I had a chance to drive the V6 at Barret Jackson a couple of months ago, it is a very sweet ride! I guarantee you'll enjoy it, good luck.

Okay, I am cancelling my order through Dimmitt and going with Furman..The salesman was upfront and very easy to talk to, the salesman stated the vehicle should be here in Sept/Oct time frame...nice change from before, when your getting ready to spend 38K. I will see how this process goes. Thanks for all the heads up about local dealers... Can't wait, but will.

I ordered mine from Richard on 5/3. I checked with Ryan on Sunday and he said that the system updates on Sunday and Tuesdays are the best time to call for updates. Richard emailed me today to let me know I went to 3000 on 5/27.

I talked to Jack Courtney who was upfront and did not tell me any #$##$##$$#@#!!! Very knowledgeable and gave me what info he had. I am going to pick up my reciept for my deposit today and he told me they have a black 2SS/RS in the parking lot waiting to picked up. I am going to go drool, I mean stare at it. Are you famillar with this salesman??? Have you had good fortune thus far?????

I picked up my Black on black SS2 RS on may 9 2009 from gordon chevy on dale mabry
they sold the first V6 they got
but they may have got another V6

Oops, didn't notice that this thread had moved on w/o me.

At Dimmitt I had ordered back on March 16th...Car shipped some weeks ago, I did the paperwork on Sunday 6/21, and I'm expecting it any day now.

Edit to add:
They're still doing MSRP, but my salesman tells me there'll be a long wait if you were to order today. Still, I've been pretty happy with them so far, worth talking to.

Hello Tampa Area Camaro fans. Here's my story. Been contacting and visiting many dealers from Tampa are south to Ft. Myers. Asked to be notified if any Camaro is delivered so we couls see the car and check out the colors. Long story short: Saturday we get two calls one stating a Black SS sold order is in and will be available to see for a couple of days and the other was a cancelled order on a 2SS RS RJT. We go to see the RJT, it's in the showroom and figured no way could we drive. Sales lady says ' Would you like to drive and see out in the sun?' Uh Heck yes, wife loves the color, she drives off the lot for the test drive with me as a passenger, no sales staff riding along and she loves the way it drives. $1500 over MSRP but got 2000 over KBB on the trade so we went home with the new Camaro! Sweet! Then today I get an email the Black SS RS is now available @ MSRP in Ft. Meade if anyone has an interest.

Has anyone else ordered from Dimmit and received their car? Just curious. . .I liked the guy that I ordered from, just isn't real quick to respond sometimes. (Although I am sure he probably breaks into tears everytime he sees another email from me.)
