Ok new radio strangeness - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

About a week ago they upgraded the radio software.
So far I have caught the radio changing(like turning the tuning knob) when:
1) I activate the cuise control.
2) I close the passanger window.
3) The first time it happened i do not know what i hit.
So far no luck in trying to duplicate it, but I am about 99% sure what I was doing in 1 and 2 above.

Anyone else have anything like this happen?

Can someone elaborate? What is this radio software upgrade? TSB? What is the upgrade "supposed" to do or correct?

Ment PDIM update i think. Pretty sure this is what they did. Left sheet in glove box i'll get it and look closer.

This sounds a bit like the speed compensated volume is set to "On" in your configuration settings. I really like this feature because it raises or lowers the volume on the radio for you. I'm not sure though if it's based on ambient noise level or on speed or rpm settings.

Either way, it's worth checking in your Config settings on the radio. I think you need to be in Park to access the feature.

Thanks, but its not the volumn that changes its the station(tuneing).

I'm sure there's some computer somewhere doing somethin it's not suppossed to, thats bizzare, since you can't duplicate it i wonder if the computer realized the error and fixed itself. Next thing you know the car will drive itself straight to skynet
