No, no, here's how their editions'll go: You have your Pre-KITT edition, KITT Edition, Post-KITT edition, and the Special Edition Edition. . . . Hey, do I get royalties if they take any of these suggestions??

oh no the show won't be the show without "the black trans am" this is sick, ' the black mustang' oooh there aren't 10 million of THOSE on the road.

one big reason i won't own a stang... it's just another mustang!

i was a big fan of the show. but there is no way it can be good like before, like them trying to make the bandit into a series using a dodge stealth. .. yeah. it'll suck go down the tubes quick.

But the better and more important question is....how are they going to find someone cooler than David Hasselhoff to play Michael
Kitt has been a mustang before.. and from the looks of what ive read, Hasselhoff is to play himself in the new series

the light was photoshopped, but they've been planning on using a mustang for a while now, since GM still hasnt released the camaro (or any possibility of a trans-am)

they will prolly use a bunch of v-6s with body kits. someone asked me on another forum why they wouldnt use the SuperSnake. I told them its cus the show wont make it with KITT as a mustang so there's no use spending the money on a SuperSnake. really there's no use using a mustang anyway, but oh, well. if the movie/series makes it till the camaro comes out, id love to see the Hoff upgrade to the new Camaro. it already has the slit for the KITT lights.

btw, me and a friend are working on making his 86 LS1 powered Camaro into a "KITT" of sorts. pics to come soon.

A couple of quick chops...at request of Camarospike. Mind you, these were really quick...so don't judge too harshly.

Oh, and the last two are for fun

Just a reminder, they used a red concept in the reunion two hour special in the early to mid 90's. It sucked...

Premiered May 1991 on NBC

Michael Knight is recalled from retirement because crime has become rampant in Seattle. The current system of freezing convicts is not working. KITT has been dismantled and the parts sold. Devon Miles has managed to recover all but one chip which has been implanted in the head of a female cop, Shawn McCormick, whose brain was destroyed by a bullet. KITT is installed in a box and used in Michael’s ‘57 classic Chevy. He and the cop, who has a chip on her shoulder as well as in her head, are teamed. Meanwhile, the foundation is preparing the new car, the Knight 4000.

When the producers of Knight Rider 2000 (1991)
went to General Motors and asked for permission to use
the Pontiac Banshee Concept Car for the Knight 4000,
GM declined, saying that if the movie turned into
the series, they would be once again swamped by
requests for the "Knight 4000 Car", as they were for the
Pontiac Trans Am. So the producers turned to Jay Ohrberg
Star Cars Inc. for help. Ohrberg and his staff
constructed a car which resembled the Banshee on top of a
1991 Dodge Stealth.
