After seeing the Z06 I wish someone would make a similar wicker bill for the 1LE - wraps around the sides of the spoiler and is adjustable in the middle

This is what I was worried about too, it would like adding a 305 rear tire. It would cause the front to push and understeer more. Now if you added the front splitter and proper one. Where it is attached to the frame, so when the air pulls it down, it pulls the chassis and not stretching the plastic bumper cover. I had a real Cobra R splitter on my cobra and pretty exterior spoiler attached to the bumper cover, but it also came with a piece that fitted the entire bottom of the external splitter and had two aluminum towers that mounted to the chassis that held the steel bumper on behind the front plastic fascia. It was a honeycone core wrapped in fiberglass.

The body mounted splitters will direct air, but any true down force will not really happen. The best way to see this is watch built drag cars at the top end who remove the steel bumpers behind the covers, they fronts implode at speed creating a parachute more then aerodynamics. Then when they slow down the bumper goes back to its shape. Hence why a buddy sells lightweight bumper replacements.

I think the cool factor is there, but again it creates drag too, So it can slow your car down a little.

It makes 150lbs of down force at top speed. Would be great for the esses at Watkins or VIR. Under a 100mph and I bet it is near impossible to notice. Having an extra 10 gallons of gas in the tank for a session is 70lbs right there. I consider it another adjustable tuning device. It has height adjustments, and can also be removed based on the track you are at. I don't disagree that off setting it with a bigger splitter is advised, but that is near impossible to adjust at the track.

Well the 13 1LE uses the same spoiler as a 2010-2012 and the 1LE IS an SS as I understand it, it's just painted satin black. My understanding is the only difference between a standard SS and 1LE on these years in the rear are the wider rear tires and 285 rubber. If I am incorrect, please do let me know.

Let me know once you've tested it. I'm curious to know which ones work best on the 2013 1LE since that is what I'm having... You 14-15 guys can just buy the Z/28 wicker bill/splitter and be done with it since GM did all of the engineering for you (lucky!)

The 14-15 1LE spoiler is the ZL1 Spoiler, I don't see how its different besides the wrap.

Correct, the 14-15 1LE spoiler is the ZL1 spoiler (thicker than the SS spoiler), but it is painted black (not a wrap)

I am going to let some of the others go into details, but the suspension in the rear is different on the 1LE to the SS as well.

Yes, but I was referring to the aero, as this thread pertains to it...

Gottcha, and I thought it had expanded into a discussion of oversteer / understeer, which is also effected by the suspension, and since tires (which you mention) are generally not considered part of the aero package, I assumed you were on the same page as me. My bad. I am interested to see if they two spoilers are the same.
