Just read moment's ago in the WSJ that Obama has been pressuring the board of Bank of America to replace their CEO and quite a few board members. I guess he doesn't approve of the ones they've got?

He first forced them to buy Merrill ... now Merrill is dragging them down ... so what's the next stupid thing to do? How about drag in new Obama-picked management.

did anyone else hear any excerpts from Obama's speech to the graduates of ASU yesterday? He was encouraging them NOT to get into greedy business and the private sector but to go work for a non profit or the government?

Does our Dear Leader not understand that non-profits and the government can't exist if they can't feed like parasites off of business? If we all quit our jobs and work for the government or non-profits ... who'll pay for everything??????

Hey my president promised to spread the wealth around, maybe he will just give me a Camaro if he takes over GM. Go Obama, free Camaro's for the poor people.

Look...I don't normally get too heated in the public section of this board...but are you freaking kidding?!?!? They were planning to close dealers LONG before he ever got into office. There's too many! They've wanted to close them since before he was even on the campaign!! But they couldn't/wouldn't because it wasn't a necessity, and it was too hard. He HASN'T taken over the companies, and YES -- you're paranoid!

I'm not ignoring anything, Mr. dkb. I'm just not 'embelleshing' the story to further my own ends like a dirty journalist!!!!!

I can see that some dealerships need to close. I may have my figures wrong but I heard that there are twice as many GM dealerships as there are Toyota dealerships and Toyota sells around 4 times as many vehicles. If they close half of the GM dealerships maybe the one left will sell more cars and lower their commision. LOL

I think it is hard to have a discussion with "facts" like this. The merger deal of BofA and Merrill happened on Sep 13 2008. That was before the elections. It was approved by shareholders on Dec 8 2008. What next are you going to say he started the Iraq War.
