Where do ZL1's stack up?

The GT500 is clearly faster in a straight line and the ZL1 is better on a road course, but where does a stock ZL1 fall when it comes to your everyday roll races? Haven't really had any challengers yet...wondering who to take on and who to stay away from

Depends on the mods honestly but there will always be someone faster so don't worry about losing it will happen one day

There is a ton of variables to deal with on the street. I have lost stop light to stoplight runs to stupid cars because I tried to put all the power down on the first hit... Stupid me.... But most of the time, most cars don't have a chance, to include GT500s. (I have a few buddies in town). AWD turbo cars give the best "race".

I don't see how a lighter car with more power can possibly lose a roll race to a heavier car with less power.

I would think you should be competitive to all the likely players in stock form including: 07-12 GT500s, Boss, 03/04 Cobra, Camaro SS, GTOs, 11-14 5.0s, Challenger SRT8s, as well as the imports. I wouldn’t have too much faith against any of the above modded or a stock 13/14 500s though.

Don't just race people you know you can beat takes the fun out of it lol. On the street it's anyone's race really. I will say if you want to know who to stay away from it would be the 13-14 GT500. Those things are freaking rediculous once they get moving!

If I get confronted on the street by a wannabe racer, I let them go. Police sirens in your rear view mirror are not fun.

I wouldn't feel bad if I lose to any of the above mentioned . It's necessary to where where your zl1 measure up to the competition . I do recommend some light mods if you intend to street race on the regular.

Love the ZR1, but it's also over 100k and a totally different car class.

IF you can find someone willing to street race you, best bet would be to assume he's modded some.
