Check out this link from a company that talks about remanufacturing transmissions:
"Please note that both of these units [AR5 & AY6] are specified to be filled with 75W-90 gear oil. It is our experience that this lube will create cold-shift problems and other undesireable complications. Well Brothers. i just got a call from my dealership! GM or what not approved the whole Tranny Swap! if i were you tell them to check this thread out and also if they have any question tell them to call Maroone of West Dade and Ask them about to tell your dealership or something about my problem. if you want the rest of the case thing ( names n such ) let me know!
new tranny should be here sat-monday. and installed tuesday. and my car will be back on the blockkk! |

Nice! Your new trans came in earlier than expected!
Can you PM me the case names that handled yours when you get a chance? I'm supposed to get a call tomorrow afternoon with GMs decision for my trans. |

^ well the thing is this. they decided to tell me that the tranny was coming. but that same day. the piece i needed came in! so they are going to install the part. if it doesnt work and i keep grinding/popping out. then i will get the new tranny. which is being delivered to the dealership!
look Camar0. um give me your phone number or something or ur dealerships. or i can give u my dealerships number and u can ask if they can tell your dealership what to do. just refer to my car or name. let me know! |

Well, supposedly my pressure plate was torqued down wrong from the factory, leaving my with the bizarre clutch pedal issue.
I'm not very confident that this will be the end of my issue, as the trans has has the gring for almost 10k miles. Hopefully the TSB will lead me to a new trans, or a new gearset. Time will tell. I really hope I have my car back tomorrow for the holiday weekend...:( |

idk if this is dejavu or something...but i had a dream that i was driving a camaro and all of the sudden all the CEL dashlights came on! :( and the DIC...went krazy :(
