'14-'15 1LE with ZL1 Rear Diffuser
Anyone out there change the Rear Diffuser to a ZL1 Diffuser. I know the sides extend down a little more than a Stock SS w/ NPP. Looking for pics and how the trim around the exhaust fits. Looks like a pretty simple change. Any input would be great.

I was going to get the z/28 rear diffuser bc it looks better and it's painted, but I don't think you can buy it w/o buying the rest of the aero pkg. it's on the spring edition camaro also.

Yep, fit perfectly. No modifications necessary. Didn't buy exhaust heat shields either and all is well. I'll try to post some pics later.

Reviving this thread. Hoping to get some clarification.
There are numerous threads on the ZL1 diffusers, but most are for the 2010-13 model years, and few talk about upgrading from 1LE. For the 2014/15 1LEs, what do I need to go to the 2014 ZL1 diffuser? I'm seeing the diffuser and (optionally) heat shields. No absorbers or other miscellaneous pieces? |

All you will need is the dIffuser it is a direct replacement. Same thing with the Z28 or spring edition diffuser

Really? That's good news -- looked like a $hit load of parts were needed for the 2010-2013 models . . . and lots of drilling/cutting.

I install the Z28 diffuser on mine no cutting at all there are about 10 bolts and a bunch of clips that hold it on. Here is the DIY that i follow to get it off.

I saw that thread, thanks, and I'm confident I can get it installed . . . if I have the necessary parts. I'm more concerned at this point in getting a handle on what exactly is needed (parts-wise) to do it right.

Heat shields are up to you, but other than that nothing else is needed. you will reuse the bolts that you take off. I would get a plastic trim removal kit, they are about 6 bucks at harbor freight

Yea, consenus seems to be the heat shields are not needed, especially since the 1LE doesn't have them and it ain't meltin'
Thanks for the info |

Looks like they are trying to sell you a lot of parts you don't need.
