Well, I decided to retire my PS2 so I bought a 360 last week (kinda feel like a lifetime Chevy owner buying a F**d). I've only played some Madden 08 and NFS Carbon (which is pretty cool). I did frag with my son on Halo 3 for a bit, but haven't played story mode (if that's what they call it). It looks promising as a system although I do worry about overheating as well as the disc scratching, just learned they did that yesterday.

Get the new ones (with HDMI port). They are basically supposed to have fixed that problem. If you have the old ones that scratch your disk, MS will repair/replace it for you with free shipping but it takes like a month.

Getting it Christmas for my brothers...It's gotta be a surprise - we've been telling them they're not allowed to get another system...

So I have to wait

But come December, I'll work at getting Live, I'll post up my gamertag, then.

On the game itself, though...has anybody played the campaign? I don't want any details, this is like a good movie I haven't see yet, to me - just is it good, or crap?

I've jumped around with my brother. It looks great though. I started reading the manual to ccatch up on the story because the only halo background I know of is when my brother and I played campaign in Halo 2. The levels are massive.

You have more vehicles to choose from and the vehicles help you move quickly around them, but the levels are still huge.
