I've been saying that onstar should be able to do remote starts for years now... Where I work, it's a long way to the parking lot and there isn;t a remote made that can start a car from that distance. This is really cool news!

you guys can just get a viper alarm and the smart start app...

http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/13/v...r-with-iphone/

this way you don't have to keep paying for onstar.

I'm just tired of walking out of work for lunch, and having to get into a sweltering sauna that is my car.

You would think that they would know all of that type of information... but when my camaro was broken into (passenger window smashed) they didnt have any idea... when some guy punched the left rear quarter panel of my car there was nothing, and while my camaro was parked in a parking lot it looks like someone did a dukes of hazard slide across my hood, again nothing... im beginning to lose my faith...

That stuff is only going to be available in the 2052. Window smash detection, quarter panel punch detection, hood slides, even trunk handstands, window licking, and bow tie buffing. It's all on their site. It's gonna be sick!

They can read the technical information stored in your car. You can't actually believe that they'd be able to tell if someone touched your car.

I'm in! I had planned on renewing my OnStar subscription and have also been considering dumping my BlackBerry in favor of an iPhone. But if this won't work on the 2010 then that's really going to factor into my decision.

Camaro 5 moderators..... how can we organize a digital petition to get GM's attention? I know Fbodfather is a frequent member, with (i imagine) considerable pull within GM. What is the best way to go about this???

They do theres a video online on how it works.

Haven't checked exactly how to do it but if you loose your iPhone you can change all the setting back to default.

You need to enter your pin each time you want to use one of the app's features such as lock/unlock or remote start. If you lose your phone, change your pin and you are good.

Remote start will only work if you are within the vicinity of the car.

Sucks it says starting with 2011 models. You think it will work with the 2010 Camaros?
