Does it come in BLACK?

He said the company assured the union it will still build the 2009 Camaro
I like that part right there. Seems like GM is not gonna let anything or anybody stop them from making the Camaro. Which is the way it should be!

Wow that sucks! I know they've slowed the SUV production of the plant here in Arlington due to lagging sales.

As far as i know, there is nothing that is going to stop the camaro. I have heard that there will be some job cuts. As it sits now,
Plant #2=future build site of the RWD Zeta platform, including the 2008 Chevy Camaro. Current being built here are the Chevy Impala, Monte Carlo, Pontiac Grand Prix & Buick Allure/Lacrosse. The truck plant builds the GMC Sierra & Chevy Silverado So there will be some lines that shut down in 9 months, but that is to allow the one plant to retool to build the camaro. The oshawa assembly plants are the most productive plants in north america |

GM knows that the 09 Camaro is getting alot of attention, they are obviously way smart enough to not let this issue get on its way. The new Camaro will definitely help GM

There are a number of reasons for these cuts. The value of your dollar vs ours makes it more expensive for you to buy from us, so we need to reduce our costs which means getting rid of people most of the time. Also the price of gas has detered some people from buying trucks, and the full sized gm pickups are both produced here in oshawa. Remember, there are 2 GM plants in oshawa, one makes full sized cars and the other makes trucks.
On a side note, I could have gone to school for manufacturing engineering, but I wouldn't feel right about making robots to replace people at a factory |

yeah...TAG, or Moose - maybe a little thread "move" is in order...I've heard this too.
What I've read besides job cuts is that they are eliminating the third shift. I've also heard that they will be temporarily be shutting down the Zeta-intended line (+1 DGthe3). I didn't post anything because I didn't believe it would affect Camaro - since the cuts are aimed at 3rd shift on the truck assembly line. I'm not ripping on you - please don't take it that way - but that's the problem with hearsay, it get's skewed after after the first transmission...I doubt that Oshawa will have any problems regarding the Camaro. |
