Technically, it's polished stainless steal. While there is a small amount of chrome in stainless steal (sometimes up to 20%) it is not plated with chrome. Unlike chrome, billet SS will not chip and rust. it is easy to take care of too. Billet SS is used today on many car and trucks from OEM and after market.

I do understand that's it's not everyone's taste though.

Just because some don't like it does not make them "haters". I had a chrome grill on my V6 but a different style, while I loved it many didn't and that was cool. Certainly did not make them haters.

Your rims are awesome. Good choice! My wife and I have had many conversations over rims. It is so hard to choose.
