Who's switching the ss bumper to the rs v6 front bumper?
I'm one of the guys who will buy an ss but prefers the v6 front bumper that looks more like the concept
I really don't like the ss one...i'm glad that the v6 is around and hopefully i can do a swap or if the front bumper is part of the rs package and can just be made like that through the factory... anybody else in my boat? |

im sure you might even beable to find someone to just trade with you. someone might like the SS bumper better.
I've decided to just get the V6 instead. Then i can get it a whole lot sooner, i wont have to save up as much.

Based on the info from this mornings chats it does not SOUND like the RS package gets you the other bumper. Not trying to set anyone off here, just point out some evidence. No, it is not complete information, but maybe we can get some more info. I can't see why GM would not sell you the other bumper if you wanted on, but to several people's points, it will likely not be cheap to do.
From the Fitspatrick chat from this morning: summer08: Which front fascias will be available with which models? JohnFitzpatrick: There are two different front facias for the LS/LT and SS model. The SS model with have an slit above the grille and a little bit different lower grille. Doug Houlihan chat: bryancollins: what does rs stand for? DougHoulihan: Rally Sport. This includes HID headlights with a halo ring, 20-inch 245 front and 275 rear Pirelli tires, rear spoiler, available on V6 and V8 models. From the Cheryl Pilcher article: Larry Sully, GM accessories design manager, revealed his team is working on larger wheels and a body kit for the Camaro. Will these accessories be part of the RS package? CP: "The RS package is available on all models except the LS. Like I said, it has HID lighting, a darker tailamp treatment, and on a V-6 RS you get the spoiler found on the SS. The wheels are expected to have a unique paint treatment - not black, but not a typical bright silver finish. And then the V-6 RS option also includes 20-inch wheels." |

Chrome really isn't a trend anymore...A LOT of people think it is played out.

Trend or not, i still like them.
And i really dont like painted wheels. Id be happy with polished, but apparently that's only available on the SS, even when you upgrade to RS on a V6 you get some "special" painted wheels.

Don't be upset. GM can't seem to do them right. Mine on my 2000 SS pitted with corrosion after 3 years and GM had to replace them. 3 years later and they pitted again. Out of warranty this time. last year they started pitting where the tire bead sits and now they leak air and go flat. All the chrome has flaked off the back side of the rims where you can only see when you take the wheels off. The font sides where the chrome is thickest is bubbling slightly. A few more years and that's going to be ruined.
They SUCK at chrome wheels!!!! |

Otherwise I'll have to get a front end bra until the aftermarket fixes the Prius grille. |
