Just a few examples of why you might want to invest in a set of wheel locks.
Don't end up being.... ...because you didn't use protection. |

A wheel lock can be defeated, but without writing a DIY that might give someone ideas I will say this. It takes two things to defeat a wheel lock: time and noise. One wheel lock per wheel is not much of a deterrent to someone that is prepared and knows what they are doing because it doesn't take a whole lot of time and noise. But multiply that time 20 wheel locks and suddenly your car looks like a much less appealing target. It will take too long and make too much noise. On to the next car.

NOTHING is completely theft-proof....NOTHING!!! But the normal locks like these Gorilla's will at least slow them down quite a little bit. Certainly more difficult than regular lugs. Don't want to make things too easy for them!!!

Only thing wheel locks do is keep an honest man honest. I've been working on cars at a professional tire chain for 13 yrs. customers continually loose or break their wheel lock keys, haven't encountered one that I have not been able to remove with simple hand tools.

Thats why you have insurance, not going to fight with 5 wheel locks to change a tire.
Had mine stolen and insurance wrote a check for $5,000, All I can say is come get them... |

Glad my SS stays in the garage, that would definitely suck to have that happen

already have a set on order. A little peace of mind but I imagine if thieves wanted my 1LE wheels bad enough they would figure it out.

If you have the correct lug key, it doesn't take any longer to remove these lugs than normal lugs. They even work with an air impact. This "System" is my favorite lug kit on the market. While no wheel lock guarantees your wheels don't get ripped, it does deter most of the thieves out there that are looking to make a quick theft. Ordinary lugs, those guys jump out of a truck and will have all 4 wheels off in less than a minute. I've seen videos, it is a well choreographed thing with 4 guys and a driver. With wheel locks on 20 lugs, it would take them hours and a lot of hammering noise to get them off. They won't be interested, and will move on to find an easier victim. Nice photos, Chase! LOL. Tony

I run fluted lugs on my car, not really "locks" but you do need the right one. Also, the best way to avoid this kinda stuff is to not leave your car unattended for extended periods of time if at all possible. But, if that's not an option, 20 locks is at least better than 5, and a lot better than none.

Just put a set on my 14 1LE, at a minimum it gives you more piece of mind. It's a small investment as a deterrent. Plus the black lugs look better than the stock.

I have these on mine. The stock lugs are crap anyway, and 20 Gorilla locks are enough of a thief deterrent for me. Yes, we all know we could get them off ourselves with basic hand tools. The point is "time and noise". Every thief out there aims to keep both at a minimum.
I did order a second key right after I got them though; one in the trunk, the back up in the tool chest at home. Chase, I suggest offering the second key option at point of purchase on the locks? |

At least they put the ZL-1 on tires. On the bare ground would've been a shame.
