Engine Compartment

Did we know the cold air intake on the front of the SS was non functional?

It's a bummer, but would be a really cool mod.

I read a post that someone wanted to put LED's like KIT in Knight Rider, that would be cool too.

*** THANKS FOR THE PICS... KEEP THEM COMING! ***

Yes, we've known that for a while. I don't get it, it's right in the place where you'd think they could make it functional.

Front structure and radiator are directly between the "mailslot" and the engine compartment. Will take modifying the frame or moving/replacing the radiator to get a clean shot through...

Does anyone else think the huge plastic engine cover looks stupid?
I like the way the Vette's have just fuel Rail covers with the intake exposed.

Is the engine that ugly that we have to cover it up with plastic?

I read that GM is going to offer about 10 different engine cover options (aftermarket). So of course the stock one shown here is so plain that no-one will want to keep it. I mean "V8" on the front? Are you kidding? Couldn't at least have put LS3? hehe.

Here is a picture for reference. I also prefer the covers they have on the Corvette.
