I went ahead and bought new tires for my 16 and got her all cleaned up. She ain't going anywhere after seeing this horrendous refresh. I've owned 3 camaros but I won't be buying this new one.

I don't know, the more I look at it, the less terrible it gets.

I just noticed that on the SS, the bottom most piece of plastic is matte(it wraps up on the ends to the "fog" lights), while the rest of the grille is gloss. I wonder if that is final.

If the ZL1 wasn't already established - that would make for the cool beginnings of one... |

Well, atleast your rendering made me like the OEM design better. If that was the goal. Good job. Still hate the fingers. Like the hood just hate the fingers and every time I look at the taillights all I can see is this.

No offense to the poster above who did the renders with a continuous cross hatch design. Really not liking that. Thinking the black bar can stay, tho fingers crossed they fill the flow tie & move a badge to the upper grille. |

As to the post on the FCA cars, i gotta say i could buy a Charger if a muscle sedan was in the cards as there is nothing else out there. Looks are rather blend imo but ok. The Challenger on the other hand looks like an SUV to me. It sits way too high. It weights a ton. Id have absolutely no use for it unless a Hellcat and bragging rights. But i am not into cars and coffee. And certainly dont need 707hp for any dd. Both cars are not only retro but actually very old going on 11 yrs now without a major refresh or a new gen save for minor tweaks. Would i plunk my $ on a 10 yr old design? Nope. Do i think they are remotely sexy? NFW. And it seems a redesign is still 3 long yrs away as FCA is mostly keen on selling itself vs updating its diminishing fleet of cars. The only priority is Ram and Jeep. But, the Dodge does offer the widest choice of trim options and decent motors and thats what keeps those cars alive. And huge fleet sales of the Charger of course. To be honest this strategy has worked well for FCA: both cars (together) easily out sell the "number 1" Mustang and as they dont mind 3rd place (usually) for the Challenger they didnt have to invest in it much apart for the halo Hellcat which no doubt helps overall sales. But frankly if i wanted more power id get a ZL1 in a flash as a superior all around sport car on steroids which is well priced for its capabilities. |

Glad the ZL1 is staying the same. Edit: that's going to be a mother to clean too, and i bet the paint doesnt hold up on those sharp points and angles on the fingers. Probably snag your wash mitt on it too. |

Gotcha, I wasn’t expecting any pictures then we started seeing a few....I was just hoping there was a bunch more we hadn’t seen yet. At first I didn’t like it much at all, then I started liking it better in black....but like you the more I look at it the more I like it. Might be better with a body colored bar across the middle, but I’m liking it a lot better either way. These 2 feet off the ground pictures don’t do it any favors....from normal height I think it will be even better !

It's because you are convincing yourself that you like it.

The expanded upper grille area is going to allow more heat to escape during a hot soak.
The heat extractor in the hood will further lower underhood temperatures, including during the hot soak. This could eliminate hot soaked starters on the SS. The "Flowtie" increases airflow to the engine by an extra 2.5 cubic meters per minute They have really increased engine cooling, and cooler engines make more HP and have better driveability. So even if you don't like the look, it is a functional upgrade. m
