As much as I like my 10 ABM SS/RS, I miss my 09 G8 GT. I'm going to get a GXP G8 one day because nothing like a 4 door sleeper sedan. The G8 was an awesome car and the new SS in my opinion, will not be nearly as great, even though it is just a rebadged GXP G8 with much uglier, plainer, less aggressive body panels and no manual transmission option.

You will not get bored with a g8 gt, trust me. Had mine stock for 3 hrs after I bought it with 27000 miles. Now I'm over 600rwhp, daily driver, pump gas beast with 76000 miles, over 100 1/4 mile passes and going strong. It's an awesome car which you don't rarely see on the street, unlike a Camaro which are everywhere.
Don't get me wrong, I love camaro's, but couldn't buy one and leave it stock, don't like it in stock form. |

I wish Pontiac would come back and start things off by introducing a new GTO...a retro-styled one with the vertical headlights like the 66 and 67 years...aka my two favorite years of GTO

How about a GMC SS counterpart to Camaro, maybe a GMC SS Denali AWD, professional grade, ha. |

I just traded in my G8 GT last month for my 1LE. It was starting to get up there in miles so I figured I'd cash in on the market for them before I racked up too many. Plus my kids are 4 and 6 so this is the only time they will fit in back of the 1LE.
The G8 was a blast, just needs a 6M option, as does the new SS. |

the g8 was based on the Holden VE commodore and the new SS will be based off of the VF commodore. i have had 3 G8's so far (1 was a GXP M6 #327) these 4 dr cars are a blast to drive. there is so much room and when modded correctly can surprise alot of people. the GXP and the new SS share the same LS3 as the camaro and the new SS will have the same paddle shift option as the auto camaros. Now if they would only offer the same options on the SS as is available in Aus. on the HSV GTS. I love my Camaro but for some reason i enjoy driving the wifes G8 a little more

I can't get bored with my car. Sure its an LT but its definitely not slow. My dream is the corvette but that doesn't look like its gonna happen as the family is growing. I'd test drive one but they are sold so quickly. Questions: Is there any throttle lag? Did you get a lot of looks while you were driving it? |

This times a katrillion. I guess Pontiac couldn't beat the Buick sales in China, because I hardly ever see Buicks here. Buick has only built one car in the past forty years that I would want. Grand National/GNX. Other than that. Blech.
