Nope. Not gonna make any more after 2010. There will be 80,000 built at a profit per vehicle of about ~$5000, after an investment of around $800,000,000 for R&D, tooling, etc. Thus making the entire project worth -$400,000,000 for GM. This is part of their plan to lose more money.

Sorry for the sarcasm, I could be off on my numbers but doing a limited run of Camaro's makes absolutely no financial sense at all. Though it would increase the collectors value of the Camaro. I can't think of too many cars that were around for less than 3 model years before being canceled or redesigned.

Honestly, did you think before posting? What car that is a legend and many people already know about before it EVEN comes out only has 1 year of production? The camaro will prob say for more than 2011. This car will be pretty famous, let's hope it does not get TOO famous like the mustang Dear lord please dont'.

I want my car to be seen every 15 minutes not 2.

Are you guys aware that Obama has now fired the GM of Corvette racing and have reassigned EVERYONE from the performance products division.

The Camaro through no fault of its own or those consumers who would like to have one, may become a sacrificial lamb to the Gods of supidity in our federal government.

how about 3 and 4 year model cars:

mmm lets see how about the 3 year 2004-2006 pontiac GTO,, how about the 4 year 2003-2006 chevy ssr, did these make financial sense?

The GTO was a "free" car for Pontiac, although it was cancelled (due purely to saftey regs), it still made them money...I don't have enough information on the ssr to comment, though wasn't it just a re-skinned Corvette?

Even with the rise of the undead, GM's genius will not only offer the 2011 Camaro, but will do away with thh RS package and offer the Mad Max package that will include T-Tops, (For easy drive by shooting of Zombies), Upgraded carbon fiber fenders in case you gotta run those brain eating suckas off the road, full night vision windshield....and FULL dash ABL, (to make it easier to reload, of course)

The first 1,000 preorders also come with your choice of a .50 cal machine gun, or a MK19 40mm grenade launcher, both mounted at no extrta cost.

Bring it on, you undead bastards!!!!

yea but will they be dealer applied or factory?

Agreed. But thats sorta what I was getting at, 4 years happens, 3 years is rare, but less than 3? None off the top of my head.

As for the GTO, the car was built on an aging platform, so its days were numbered as soon as it entered production. Doesn't change the fact that it still only lasted 3 years.

SSR was a dumb idea. Make a sport truck that can't really be used as a truck and isn't very sporty.

GTO was a 3 year build from the start. There was never going to be a '07 because Holden stopped building the Monaro when they started to build the all new Commodore.

That's not very good. That means the odds of there not being a 2011 Camaro are the same as the odds that there will. 1 to 1.

I'd prefer this:
