Legally speaking, GM and all other car manufacturers do not offer warranties. They are actually limiting their liabilities by reducing your legal rights and conning you into accepting their offer of a limited warranty. Legally, you have a 4 year unlimited milage warranty on all vehicle purchases unless you waive your rights by signing them away, which is what you do when you sign the warranty acceptance papers.
Having said that, most companies will refuse to sell you a vehicle if you don't sign, because they don't want to be responsible for a 4 year unlimited mileage warranty, and they figure that someone that doesn't know their rights will buy it later. Now, if we all just refused to sign, then that would be a different story! For reference, check out the Uniform Commercial Code, that outlines your warranty rights. It does not apply in Louisiana. Sorry!

y does everyone have a chub on for the 100k warranty, it's still limited to 5 years. 95% of the population does not put 100k on their vehicle in 5 years. your really just getting a 5 yr warranty on your power train. I've always disagreed with this marketing scam. i currently have 2 gm trucks both with the duramax diesel in it, which has had the 100k power train warranty since they came out. one of the trucks is an 02 bought in the fall of 01. it has 95k on it and has been out of warranty for many moons. it needs injectors (due to a faulty design by bosch) but is out of warranty so i have to pay the bill around $4k. if gm was truly confident in their product throw out the year limitation. idk what exactly is going to go bad from just age seals???? ok so dont warranty my leaking transfer case.

i would like to have the option of 0 warranty or just a 30 or 60 day warranty,, but im a tech and always fix my own vehicles anyways,, cars would be very cheap without the warranty costs built into the price.

All GM vehicles (including the ZR1) come with the 5-yr/100K powertrain warranty. Why would the ZL1 to be any different...

It'll probably be the same for the ZL1, by the time the 5 years are up, it'll have around 50,000 miles.

Why couldn't they offer a 100k warranty on this car. Lets face it how many owners are gonna actually beat on these cars. Most will end up in garages, and will be brought out to cruise around in.
Yes a few will hit the drag strip, and the autocross, but most will never be used for what they were desighned for.

I'm sure the warranty will be just like every other Chevy. 3/36k bumper to bumper with 100k mile powertrain.

warranties are a scam I mean who drives 100k in five years? Extended warranties are worse because who has a car past five years anymore? I have used the warranty on my diesel before and will never have a diesel truck out of warranty, but i am curious how much these trucks would cost without warranty built in or any car for that matter. I would guess any car you probably have a built in warranty cost of 3-5 grand, I don't think i have had that much warranty repair to equal that. But that said car companies wouldnt offer them it they werent making money

"Supercar"... That's quite a stretch... I wasn't aware a mass-produced Chevrolet Camaro was now in the same class as an Enzo or Veyron...
It will carry the same warranty as a regular Camaro, which will be voided as soon as you crack a bolt... just like a regular Camaro. |

550 crank HP =470 RWHP..Not a supercar by any standards. And at 55 to 60K just make it another limited edition model. If it breaks when or after using it for a race kiss the warranty goodbye.
