When I had my 1967 Camaro a Small block V8 did not equal a Muscle Car. Owning a Rat Motor equaled a Muscle Car. Rat = Big Block V8, Mouse = Small Block V8. But that is from my perspective.

I definitely feel like what we drive is a combo package. Tuner/Muscle sounds better. It's styled after the old muscle cars but it's a midsize sports car inside. I also think the term muscle still applies, with an altered meaning to fit the times. Remember people in Europe will look at these as American muscle cars. Like hippies . No this isn't the 60s, but what do you call um?

A camaro is a pony car. A pony car is a SPECIFIC KIND of muscle car. Go look at old magazines and newspapers from when it first debuted. They will ALL say that the camaro is in the PONY CAR category of MUSCLE CARS. No, the v6 isnt as fast as the v8. But its still the SAME CAR, with a different engine! Everyone who is trying to say that the v8 is a muscle car but the v6 is not is trying to say that they are two completely different cars. As i recall, they are both camaros. Check every magazine with articles on the v6 versions of the camaro, mustang, challenger, ect. All of them call them muscle cars. I dont get why v8 owners think theyre so much better than the v6 that they have to try to monopolize the very nature of the car. Cant we all just get along?

I think he was just quoting what the definition said that he posted. Not everybody bothers knowing that a 1970 Chevelle base engine was a 250 cubic inch, 155 hp turd. In fact, after typing this, I too will no longer deem this information necessary.

Muscle cars to me are from the late 60s and the 70s. Unless u have a full built Camaro with like 700hps i dont think it would be considerd a mussle car. All these cars are just sports cars.

There is no definite answer to this question. Everybody views muscle cars in thier own way. Personally for me, muscle cars died in the 70's.

No, it's a great car, but not a muscle car.

Can we have an automatic spam filter for threads titled "Is a V6 Camaro still considered a muscle car?"
