first post for a new camaro owner
Just want to say I recently stumbled upon this place and there has been a ton of helpful information so far as purchased my 2013 2LS last week.
I am looking in to getting rid of the steels and the most affordable option for me is switching to the 18" LT wheels. I believe my stock tires will fit and I may have a good deal on some lined up. I know they aren't the best looking wheels but honestly they seem more appealing than the steel stock rims. My camaro is black and I'm also thinking of either plastidipping or powder coating these. Probably try the plastidip first and see if i like the black on black look. You guys have any opinions on this switch? Thanks for any help and honest opinions! |

I still have the steelies on my LS. Gonna get bigger this next year.
The blacked out only works if it's all blacked out....Just my honest opinion.

I did my wheels on my black Escape yesterday with black plastdip ... drivers side I use the plastic bags to protect behind wheels. I didn't have much clearance behind wheels because I have the"clean wheel" brake dust protects on the vehicle .... and where ever the bag touched the back of the wheel it lifted the plastidip when removing the bag ..=((
On the other side I used index cards and the results were much better ... so glad I didn't do Miss Cammy first!! I think she will be getting wheel decals instead. |

medicdan, CONGRATS on the new ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands, girlfirends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.
oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here. Welcome!!

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I think I'm gonna hold up on replacing the wheels for now. There are so many options out there it's gonna be hard to choose the ones I want. |
