This is true but you can easily tune off AFM and if you add a cam you can replace the lifters to get rid of AFM all together.

Sweet. When you get it done you should take it over to Tasmania and run the Targa.

Noticed thread was started three years ago and has new life.
Congrats on getting the new engine; are you going to post updates along the way?
Some folks in this thread had predictions that were right on target.

How much $ will be in the whole swap?

Seems it would be cheaper to just mod the LS3?

Are they really that much better?

426hp - 455hp = 25hp worth that much $?

Not hating on the swap. It's cool. Wish I could afford to do it myself. Just wondering what your motivation is for doing it.

Welcome to today! Getting an LT4 is as easy as visiting your nearest Chevy or Cadillac dealer.

Yeah, easy as plopping down the cash. Installation wise, probably one of the hardest swaps on earth.

Step one: Rip out entire front end frame and suspension, re-engineer.

Step two: Find a wiring/computer genius and put them on the payroll for the next couple years.

1000 times easier... build a rip snorting blown LS.

Would it be possible to get a zl1 wiring harness? The new one uses the LT4 and would be a lot less modding to the harness. Or am I way off base?

Badass. If I felt that way about at least one of my past cars, I could stop this senseless search for the perfect hotrod!.....

Maybe my Camaro....
