Powertrain:
• I like the idea of a turbo 4 in the base Camaro, it gives a sporty 260hp option for teenagers to buy in bulk instead of a POS little Mustang • Paddle-shifting with the Automatic transmission • LS3, ‘nuff said Interior: • Move the gage cluster from down on the floor. • Good sound system. Take the Blaupunkt from Pontiac • And I gotta say, since I have XM…I don’t want to be without it. Exterior: Looks AWESOME!!! • HID/HALO headlights • Keep the slit intake on it. I don’t care if it functions, it’s cool! • Cut out those slits on the rear fenders. Again, those are cool! • Lip spoiler! It was good-looking then, it’s great looking now. • Get those accessories guys to make a sick hood scoop for the Z\28 and SS (pending they exist), maybe a couple styles to pick from • We want old school DUAL stripes! Painted! • I personally DO NOT like those hockey stick stripes. As long as they don’t come as a mandatory part of a Z\28 or SS car, I’m cool. • For a Z\28 or SS (see a pattern in my input here?) take those fog lights out (or put them in the middle down low), and throw in some mean looking vents • Grill options (aftermarket or dealer installed stuff maybe) • LOVE the dark gunmetal grey and the black graphite metallic like on the trailblazer SS Pricing/ordering: • Keep it affordable (but still a Mustang killer, I’ll pay the “premium”) • Reduce the "clumping" of options and go with packages like performance, suspension, sound, appearance, and luxury type packages. I don’t need an engine upgrade to force OnStar on me or a handling package to put a nav system in there. • If offering a Z\28 and SS Camaro, make peformance and appearance upgrades the only ones that come with it, pickable options from there. Marketing: • Fuel efficiency! Everyone loves it. • Cool ads, not Honda ads. (Commercial opens with huge cloud of burnout smoke, you see the glow of HALO headlights before a jet black Camaro comes screaming out, cue the slow-mo to check out its sexiness, then badass narrator guy says “Camaro: you’ll spend more on tires than you will on gas.” highlight fuel economy numbers etc.) General Feedback: • Make a Z\28; make it a sweet handling, sick, nasty, overpowered asphalt destroyer. • Tell those accessories guys not to rice this thing up! • You have kept this car very close to the concept we as customers love. You rock, plain and simple. • V6 = 300hp? SWEET • Displacement on demand? SWEET • Listening to the customers? AWESOME

I'm loving the exterior so all I really have to say is:
Concept shifter, concept shifter, concept shifter!!!111!one!!1 Radio controls on the steering wheel/steering column. This is the one thing that bothers me the most about my Mustang. Gauges as close as possible to the concept's. Again, thanks to all the disciples for allowing us to do this.

I would love to see some of the first gen. paint colors offered such as Hugger Orange, Rallye Green, Lemans Blue, Daytona Yellow. I agree with the dual racing stipes on hood and trunk and would also like to see them painted on. I hope we will see a Z/28 version that is an all around performance car, good HP with excellent handling in the spirit of the first gen. Z/28. Front air dam and a nicely proportioned trunk spoiler, I really don't want/need some of the radical spoilers I've seen. Price, performance, looks, I'm expecting it to be an awesome package and I think the Camaro team has done an excellent job based on what we've seen so far.

Thanks to everyone who has spoken up so far. As Elie said, a lot of what we're asking has probably been discussed and decided on already, but at the very least, this will give the team a preview of how we'll react to some of the things being talked about. At the very most, I can imagine things like options being looked at a little more closely. Thanks again guys! Keep 'em coming! |

I wouldn't worry about heated seats if you want leather. Most leather seats have heaters now. Heated cloth is harder to find though...

Cloth doesn't seem to "hold" its temperature the same though. Leather will either be really hot in the summer or really cold in the winter.

I think they should offer a "stripped down" version in the V-8 model (without all the high-tech gadgets) to keep it affordable enough for those who want a lot of power, but can't afford more than $30k.

I seriously doubt the base v8 will be over 30k, don't sweat it man. Unless your going to go option crazy, but by the sounds of it you don't plan on it.

My only suggestions are sure to have been already overheard:
1) Color choices. LeMans Blue Metallic is a color that should be a cost-option (among others). This may slow down the production line, but if the color premium is enough to make it happen....?? May not be worth the trouble to re-tool the production line, but I can dream. 2) Stripes!!! All varieties, flavors, and colors. Underneath the clear-coat, please. If not from the line, at least MAKE SURE that the GM-Accy division has a line on "approved" paint shops that can make them happen, and still be considered "stock." I ask this mainly for provenance. 3) Performance drivetrain options. This is ambiguous, as we can't ask for what may or may not already be in the works. But consider this: even if it's offered after the THIRD year production-run, considering sales factors have been met --- offer us some options --- such as: A short-throw shifter. A dual-stage clutch. Different ratios for gears. Exhaust options (dual-stage butterflies, as with the Z06). Yup, I know, too much to ask. As I've said before, as long as it comes with a 400+ hp V8, the rest is just gravy!

I predict a well equipped V8 (base) to be just at 30K.

I didnt read the thread... so please excuse If I repeat....
But I would really like to see a navigation option in this car..... if there not going to offer it.... at-least make room for after market possibilities for a built in navi unit. Also some kick as speaker system would be nice. Outside wise... the car for me is fine. Engine wise Im not worried anymore in terms of the V8... that should be fine too. I just have lingering thoughts about the interior now....
