question about camaro affordability
As long as I lived I always beleived in if you getting a car like a camaro/rustang/nochallenger to get the biggest available engine, in this case not the v6, but do to some bad finacial decision on my part a few months ago Im question my decision on pay the 36,000 for the camaro ss1. So first question, what do you guys exspect the monthly payments to be around? obvisouly this is based on how much of a downpayment and over how many years, but if its over 600 a month before tax I unfortunantly cannot see myself getting one anytime soon. so input is greatly appreciated

well..add tax, interest and all that jazz, and divide it into however many months your loan is for. That should give you a real close estimate. I'd offer up a number, but I don't know those details.:(

Standard calculation is $25/month per $1000 financed at 4 years. That should get you into the ball park unless your credit is just whack or something.

My advice for anyone who isn't sure if they can afford the car now is to wait. Unless you need a new car in the immediate future, an extra 6 months - 1yr could do a lot of good. You could even set it up as if you are making payments -every month put $600 into a separate savings account, use it as your deposit when it comes time to order your car.

about 454 a month, lucky you. I went to the dealer today to get a quick monthly price quote on a 1SS, they said they could crunch the numbers, but a rough estimate would be 600-700 a month, i think thats taxes in

I'm looking at 175-250 per month at 6.5% or lower for 60 months, depending on how much I end up putting down.
But thats for a 1LT with 10-15,000 down. - Xanthos P.S. - the down payment would be higher but 5,000 goes to my mods fund.
