Yeah... we were just listing Houston shops but ADM is one of the best in the Nation and not just Texas. Definitely worth a trip up there.

Well as of right now car is at hp.. hopefully things go well and I'm one of the happy customers rather then the unhappy ones.. they are doing a head swap and a lsa blower install.. I got my fingers crossed.. it's really hard to find a decent shop that you can trust and give you fair pricing.. thank you guys for all your feed back even though I'm more nervous now then I was..haha.

I know of two people who have shared with me some horrible and very costly experiences with Hp.

Update / Findings
Driver side, last cylinder lifter tray. The lifter on the left is stuck and not wanting to budge, the lifter tray bolt is completely stripped causing the tray to become loose. How does this happen on a build that has roughly 2500 miles from the build? And are the cylinders supposed to be this full of carbon residue with such little mileage? The receipt is pictured below with the engine and callies assembly on it but it sure doesn't seem even close to being somewhat new.
Good lifter tray bolt. Here's my receipt. |

Almost $16,000 spent and you have this. I certainly hope they make it right.

Sorry about your car.
I had a bad experience with hp as well and won't be taking my car back to them ever again. |

i like HP and Jay has been a real help in the past when i got screwed by fast auto. They made some pretty rookie mistakes wiring my fans up but it got my car home, which at the time was all i wanted. That being said HP has been working on a friend of mine's car for months now and seems it is being blown off for their shop cars(as i see on their social media), which although the have a pretty face, not the best wiring and are just another camaro(every shop builds one, so they're not proving anything). I really love the entire crew at HP and the guys are nice but i would not build with them after all the issues they have had, i get the fast auto vibe from them as they get bigger and bigger. D3 Performance has a good reputation, they are expensive but do a badass job(especially wiring and custom parts). KP racing is well known as well and has been good. J-rod and powerfab have had good reviews as well.

I'm crossing my fingers I can't afford anymore bad luck with builds. I should just had LME build it all and let HP R and R motor.. your scaring me!

More findings
Here is the bad lifter. Pulled the cam, dropped the lifter and retrieved it from the oil pan. Lifter is completely destroyed.
Bad Lifter hanging. Cam is also shot, bad metal scrapping on both lifter cam lobes. Cam bearings on engine are also very bad. Lots of nicks/scratches/ and signs of metal scrapping. You can see the cam bearing through the lifter bore. |

That's sucks I'm hoping mine isn't like that I finally went and got mine from them.. I don't know what happened w them.. Jay is a nice guy to.. but there work has gotten terrible, I have caught him in lies w my build, and the time frame to complete a job is ridiculous..
Moved mine over to KPracing.. it's only been there 3 days and it's almost done.. my kit is plug n play most can put it on in a drive way in 8 to 10 hours.. but these guys struggle never called agp to ask or downloaded install guide. Well here is my build that I hope ends well.. Sorry to hear about your bad luck.. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=428857

Kinda off the subject, but I've heard good things about KP. I plan on using them down the road when funds allow.

That would be a great choice. They used to be sponsors on here too.
