H.U.D., Green for anyone who wants it, and a V6 re-certified to 312hp are all great.
To me the best part of today's news is the absolute confirmation of another model year of the Camaro!

Whatever little bonus we get every year is fine so long as they keep the Camaro alive, thank you Team Camaro and GM.

You sound like you have first hand experience. In your opinion, how easily will the 'average driver' get used to a HUD or not be distracted ?

I hope that this is not all of the changes for the 2011, where is the Z-28 and add more Horsepower to the V-8, C'mon GM.

HUD takes a few minutes to get used to nothing major. it should be an option on all cars at all levels. income has nothing to do with it IMO.

Okay, it seems for the moment we're on the same page. How does that differ from ANY other thing in the car? Nav, radio, windows, shifter, even the PEDALS can be a distraction for some people.

IN MY OPINION, cost has alot to do with it. USUALLY the driver of a car that costs more than average, tends to be a bit more 'car conscious' in that they watch out for traffic, getting hit, getting cut off, etc. because 1-they are a car enthusiast and simply love to drive or 2-simply for the $$ they forked out.
This "car conciousness" has, then, nothing to do with skill according to that (^) -- you're assertion is simply that people want to not wreck their expensive car.

If you drive a bike, you know what I mean. Bikers are much more in tune to traffic and their own position, status, etc. than alot of others on the road.I disagree...most bikers around here are BEGGING to get hit by their irresponsible driving behaviors. Be that as it may...bikes are far less expensive than cars...so where does this fit in?

HUD is meant to alleviate the distraction of looking away from your windshield and surroundings, but it can also have the opposite affect.I don't disagree with you, that's why it's adjustable and turn-off-able(at least on the Vette it is). But this fact has nothing to do with how much a person spends on their car -- which is what I'm debating with you right now.

Had a feeling they wouldn't change the drivetrain at all after only one year's production... Not too shocked, just means we'll have to mod a little to keep our edge on Mustang...

All indication thus far are that the Z28 will be a 2012 MY vehicle going on-sale in mid-to-late 2011. You likely won't start hearing anything official from GM about that car for quite awhile.

Not to sounds stupid, but is it just the three items that were announced? This morning it said HP, Synergy Green and HUD and kind of made it sound like there was more to come because it referred to the three has highlights. The official press release just seemed to expand on those three things. I'm not complaining, I just want to make sure I didn't miss other changes if they were announced too.
