Go with 1 7/8" and get the best price you can. Kooks, ARH, Dynatech, Texas Speed, they all have the same performace and great customer service. I cannot think of 1 reason to pay more purely for the name on the box. Did ricer stickers on your friends honda give him more HP, then why would you expect the same with headers? I bought dynatechs because I loved them on my last car and I got them for $850. If I didn't find that deal I would have gotten TSP. I'd consider Doug Thorley tri-Y headers too. Tri-y headers are supposed to offer a broader power curve and DT has great pricing too.

There are some differences in headers.
Premium features are things like- -Merge Spike -Merge Collector -Merge Spike -Blended Primaries -One Peice Mid pipes with ball and socket connection -Blended Primaries -All needed O2 bungs Not all headers have all this stuff..so it is more than just a name on the box. I went with ARH. got about a 40whp gain but that should be on the high side for most of the well known brands being discussed here.

I went with the Stainless Power 1 7/8 headers from Lashway Motorsports after looking around at fitment, quality, price for my budget and these looked real good for me, checked them out before installation for the welds and bends, also NO fitment issues on my 2011 L99 and we made 40rwhp and 50rwtq with them and a tune.Sound also is amazing with my Magnaflow Xpipe and Pypes axleback system. Love it.
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=259786.. Enjoy, good luck and happy hunting, oh and the headers were only 699 bucks. |

I went with the Stainless Power 1 7/8 made by Stainless works mainly for the price,699 fit my budget and they looked real nice when I inspected them before we installed them. They are 304 stainless and I got them through Lashway Motorsports. We installed them and tuned for them and picked up 40rwhp and 50rwtq on my L99 2011SS.Also they sound really wicked with my Magnaflow truflow Xpipe and Pypes axleback system.Sorry I don't have a video clip yet, but the car runs now how it should have from the factory. Here is the link to the install and the dyno run.Enjoy, good luck and happy hunting.

1 3/4" to 1 7/8" stepped kooks headers. Dont get them coated either, I like the way they look when they turn colors. Badass! IMO. Got them from Maryland Speed.
