They will not magride 1LEs. It would be a track performance downgrade to what the have now.

Nice to see a little trickle down from the upper end models. Like some one else said the CTS-V got rave reviews for how well the Mag-ride worked in different modes and made it much more livable as daily driver over a straight track oriented setup.

GM has been using magnetic ride since the early 00's starting with Vettes

Was thinking the same thing. Keep it tight and light with the non-mag ride for my 1LE, please.

Not necessarily. I think the Stingray puts up the best times with the Magride version of the Z51 package. And the ZL1 features MagRide, achieving similar handling capabilities, despite being heavier.

My thoughts/concerns with 1LE/MagRide is how all the components in the 1LE package are legal in racing divisions. MagRide is not.

If it's an option there is nothing stopping someone from ordering a 1LE with mag ride over the full on 1LE suspension.

Picture this: Someone loves how the 1LE looks but doesn't want the constant harshness of the ride, so they order their 1LE with magride. It is after all an option, am i right?

as long as the gen6 has wifi i'd be interested. the performance stuff is usually better added on aftermarket anyway
wonder if we could add it or not.

I'm just going to assume you really aren't that stupid and that you're just being facetious.

Look im not sure if magride is a good thing or not but I do know the added cost of maintenance (replacing magride fluid) will definetly be a problem to some people including me over time. Im just not ready worry about replacing and maintaining another fluid in my vehicle.

You can't replace the fluid. Not that I'm aware of, at least. The damper is a sealed unit, like any other, except...with wires poking out the top for the computer. You replace the damper as a unit if they ever go bad. And the dampers are validated and warranted just like the rest of the car, passing all the same tests that all other GM cars go through to ensure they last.

It sounds like you may want to read up a little on the technology before writing it off so quickly.

You realize GM's been using MRC for years now? Even Ferrari has licensed the technology from them.

I wish GM offered the magnetic ride upgrade for the SS now.

Yeah I could see the use of the spool valve shocks for the 1LE since its more track focused. The magride gives the ability to have the stiff ride and then comfortable ride in one package. Perfect for the SS as people can track it then have it comfy for daily duties.
