That's the R/T model, the one below the SRT! Interesting. This is the one with the 5.7 litre Hemi that will be competing with the Mustang GT. Nice. Looks like the butterfly vents on the hood from the concept have made it to production.

I hate to admit it, but it's not a bad looking car. . . . though . . it's no Camaro by a long shot.

2008 challengers are indeed automatics only. That said there will be a 6 speed for them starting 2009 model year.

In conclusion I'd like to add that I wouldn't consider buying the Challenger until it has a manual transmission,

I like it... and I can't wait to see one in person... I do believe that the Concept was a better version, but isn't that the way all Concepts are?

Digg'n it, not as much as the Camaro (obviously). I especially like the matte black accents. Job well down Chrysler.

This is my favorite pic of them all so far. It looks half decent here. Every other pic I've seen for some reason, I can't stand the grill/headlight enclosure. I guess it kinda seems to envelop the lights when there's shadows. In the light it just looks unfinished and dull. The colors are meh for me too. The gas-filler cap on the gray looks like a primer paint job and looks unfinished to me.
I will definately go test drive one just to see how it feels, but meh. nothing spevial in my eyes. Looks nice but could be better. |

I like it, it looks tuff, but it's still not a CAMARO...

That's a fine looking car - but it does need bigger wheels - much as I suspect the Camaro will. Still, easy to fix that :p

Not necessarily, I think it just needs wider wheel/tire combo on the rear…
