Bentley Releases High-Performance Brick on Wheels
That's right. It's a brick on wheels that probably costs way too much for 500 horses. Does anyone else think it looks like a brick? Article is by Leftlane.
Discuss the brick-car.

That one does look like a brick.

Why would you pay so much more for the brick when you could have the gorgeous, better-performing Continental GT for a fraction of the price???????

Twin turbo V8, and only 500 horsepower?! Seriously? This must have been a joint project with Ford. I didn't notice a price, anyone catch that? Zero to sixty in 5.2? Thats high performance for twin turbo V8? Comparable to the Cobalt SS. Wow.
On the other hand, it's still more areodynamic than the concept Volt.

The styling is definitely more old school and refined. It is by no means a sporty car. This is for the old money types and older, insanely successful professionals, whereas the Continental is more for the young Hollywood movie star set. I think both a nice looking cars for what they are.
Bowtie guy, the Bently's TT V8 has a ton of torque. Peak HP numbers only tell about 1/4 of the story. And 0-60 in 5.2 is high performance for a luxury land-yacht weighing north of 5000 lbs, whereas the Cobalt SS weighs under 3000 and is actually aerodynamic. I really cringe whenever people here think pricing should be solely tied to HP or 0-60 times.

+1 did you know that v8 design uses the same casting for the block since the 1950's or 1960's (Cant remember which) that they have continuously used. They have changed bore and stroke and head design but still use the same block

That, is a proper looking Bentley. Intimidating with the aerodynamics of a sail. |
