Anybody every put a 315/35/20 on a 9 inch wheel?

I saw a picture, on the rear, but seems way overboard. Tire was a Nitto Invio It would be nice to have some rubber "ballooning" out over our rims to help with curb rash.

Any thoughts???

Much too wide, it would decrease performance if they were bulged out that much. I 285 or 295 could accomplish what you are looking for, but I wouldn't go wider.

295 would be the very widest I would put on a 9". These tires don't offer much sidewall to work with at 40 or 35 series on our 20"s.

Thanks for the positive replies guys, I was thinking that 315 was wayyyy to wide too, but ya never know. I've heard Nitto's are way narrow for what's listed too.

What sucks is the little price difference between 315 $255 and 295 @ $245 both 35 aspect ratio. The 275's are only $195...

I'm probably going with the 295's to be safe. I still want wider on rear though, initially I thought it would be great to have all 275's to do front rear rotation as I believe the Invo's are directional.

You wouldn't want to rotate your stock wheels even with matching tire sizes since they are different widths and offsets. Unless you plan on buying a set of rears to use for fronts?

Yes, of course all 9X20 or rear wheels.

Ok. Just making sure

As stated though. 315 is too big for 9" wheel. You could get your rears widened and run 315 on the back though.

Pedders put 305's all around and it looked pretty good. I have 295's on the rear and they look like they should have come on the car. The taller tire has a little more sidewall which helps with the ride comfort, if you want a little more give over bumps.

well if they are Nitto Invo's they run small. i believe a 315 Invo is equal to a 305 in other companies tires. i know there was a thread on that here. ill try to find it. Just putting it out there. just because the Invo's say 315...doesnt really mean they are LOL
