That makes more sense than any of the guessing that's going on.

Maybe, they've decided to beef it up with TVS2300...
Since I've heard GT500 will be going with a bigger blower either for 2012 or 2013. Could this be a motivation for the Z28 to go with 2300? I don't know!

I'm surprised when people get surprised that the expected happens.

Do you really want them to tip their hand to the competition nearly a year before the car goes on sale? Thats enough time for Ford to have a 2013 GT500 ready and waiting to beat the Z28.

If it has LS9 internals, it will be an LS9 through and through, and the chances of that happening are about as good as the Z28 showing up at the Detroit Autoshow this year.

Exactly! I much rather see it come out later, but better than GT500 than sooner and get beaten by GT500 a few months later. This is big for GM to stay ahead, otherwise they get negative publicity.

What the hell are some of you not getting? FBod says it's not gonna happen it's not gonna happen. It's not debatable.

Not likely...no offense to your friend...but anyone "in the know" at GM knows not to talk. Anybody talking...is more than likely half guessing about something they've heard from someone else. That's just an observation of mine after years of this speculating/rumors/spyshots game. Again, no offense intended.

If true than I want a Supercharged Gen V V8!!!

By a 2013 Model year I should have over $35k saved up but I don't want to wait that long if its just the LSA under the hood.

There's no sign of the Z28, as per fbodfather, however check out the hood/scoop on the CTS V racer they have on display. I haven't seen a clear shot of the hood, but it appears to have the 'look' of the covered hood on the Z28 spy photos.
Anyone else notice this or is it my imagination running wild!?

i went to the silicon valley international auto show here in san jose on saturday. I was disappointed not a single mention of a z28, no convertible either. Dodge didnt bring the new Charger or challenger or 300c so that part sucked ass. But seeing the 2012 Ford Mustang Boss 302R Leguna Seca model more than made up for it!

Could be? I took some photos of it at the show (was there at the invite of a good friend).
