Anyway... Concerning ZL1 pricing... I feel that some people may be upset by the price it ends up being, regardless of the price. So whatever price it is... It is. But 50k seems right about right

I'm cancelling my 2011 Camaro SS in anticipation for this car, even though I may have to purchase one in 2013 just to have enough saved up. Would really like to see it in ABM or another form of blue other than IBM.

Oh my..................now THAT brings back memories.
That was the "Pilot" ZL1 that GMMG built for us - originally John Heinricy's Captive Test Fleet Camaro for, as I recall, 2001....... Was originally black - shipped it off to GMMG (along with an LS6 and some wheels and some brakes and some magic dust.........) -- .......and when I went to pick it up to show at the Gathering in Atlanta -- it had been painted Garnet Red! What a sweet Camaro it was - it just BEGGED to be driven at higher RPMS (had a great voice!) and was a car you'd love to drive on mountain roads -- oh the echo of that LS6 roar! We loaned it to several magazines and had it available for a couple of our 'Toys Tests' at Milan Dragway for the media - and it never whimpered or broke! The paint got quite a bit of road rash and such - (the media put a lot of miles on it ....) and one day Jon Moss and I looked at it and said "It's time for a paint job" John wanted Rally Green and I wanted Fathom Green - we compromised on Lemans Blue - with a set of red hash marks on the left front fender............ It was caught up in our downsizing - and went to Barrett-Jackson - I believe it brought around 93K if I remember correctly............ ..........and I still miss that Camaro.........:(

will the ZL1 be limited to a certain number production?? like 5000 or they will build as many as they can sell??? would be nice from gm to have them numbered...
it should go in the 49k to 52k.. my opinion.. |

I never thought I would consider trading in my Aqua Blue SS... but this ZL1 is something special for sure... almost special enough to give up my limited color... like you everything new I find out about the new ZL1 draws me closer and closer... I still have time to decide I guess... if I don't find work I'll stick with my SS if I do find full time work making what I was making before, I just might make the switch
